About the study day
This study day is aimed at any palliative care social workers who would like to develop their research skills and learn more about research methods. The day is intended to break down some of the barriers around undertaking research and encourage participants to consider ways of incorporating research into their practice.
The day will cover:
– The challenges of conducting research in palliative care and in social work
– Searching the literature
– Developing a research question
– Quantitative methods
– Qualitative methods
The afternoon will involve an interactive workshop, and participants are requested to bring along some ideas which can be developed into a research question.
